Latrell Mitchell

A proud Aboriginal man from the Biripi nation and South Sydney Rabbitohs fullback widely regarded as one of the most gifted players of his generation, Latrell has consistently used his platform to advocate for First Nations communities. He co-founded Winmarra from a deeply personal place: the recognition that young Aboriginal people in rural and regional communities need sustained, culturally grounded support — not the short-cycle programs that have repeatedly failed them.

As a Director, Latrell shapes program direction, connects the Foundation to mentors and role models, and shows young people through his own example what is possible when you are proud of who you are.
Sunny Brar
Chairman & Co-Founder
Head of Digital, South Sydney Rabbitohs
Sunny brings a rare combination of commercial acumen, digital strategy expertise and a genuine passion for social impact — particularly for Aboriginal communities in rural and regional Australia. As Chairman, he provides strategic leadership across the Foundation's two programs, oversees governance and ACNC compliance, manages funder relationships, and drives the Foundation's operational development.

Sunny and Latrell built Winmarra not as an organisation "for" Aboriginal young people, but as one governed and led by Aboriginal people — grounded in culture, driven by love for community, and built to last beyond funding cycles.
